Your points are worked out when you enter the show, and the show runs that night. Each entry scores up to 1000 points in four parts: player 150, tack 250, skills 350 and specialization 250.
Each part is scaled against the best entry in the same show for that part, so the entry with the best tack gets the full 250 tack points and an entry with half that tack gets 125. The top 20 entries place. Player part: your horse's level times 100, plus your own player level times 100.
A Rider's own share grows by the Rider's specialization percent for the show type. Tack part: every worn item that is standard or made for the show type counts its shape times its weight: saddle 37, bridle 23, horseshoes 18, saddle pad 14, horse boots 8. An item made for another show type counts nothing. A tack bonus adds its percentage on top.
Keep the saddle and the bridle in good shape first. Skills part: the show type decides which skills count and how much, in percent of the horse's total skill points (assigned and unassigned together). Racing: Speed 50, Endurance 40, Obedience 10. Jumper: Agility 50, Speed 40, Intelligence 10. Western: Intelligence 45, Obedience 45, Endurance 10.
English: Obedience 50, Conformation 40, Intelligence 10. A skill counts only up to its weight: a racing horse with 70% of its points in Speed scores as if it had 50%. Unassigned skill points count in the total, so they lower every share. 2 for premium players) to that skill before the shares are taken. 5 times S.
A horse focused on one show type scores far more in it. If the horse's specialization trait is the show type, T times T becomes T times (T plus 10% of S), 20% for premium players. Happiness: the horse's level, tack, skills and specialization points are all multiplied by its happiness, so a horse at 50% happiness scores half. Feed it treats before entering.
Winter: an Ice Destral scores 50% more on all four horse parts when it enters in the winter game months, December, January and February. Guild and training: the horse's share of every part gets 10% more for Riders and 3% more for Equilibrium players, and every entry gets a random 1 to 4% up or down.
A horse training bonus from a trainer adds its percentage for the show type to the skills and specialization parts; a player training bonus adds its percentage to the horse-level share of the player part. Club shows (level 0) ignore the points: the entries are placed in random order.
Other shows are open to a horse of level L from L-3 to L; with the horn of indifference, from L-6 to L+3.
